Book Makela for an Event or Performance

A Makela performance is a great way to add musicality and cultural interest to your event. We generally perform in the DC Metro area, including parts of Maryland and Virginia. Makela has performed in a wide variety of settings including:
  • Bar and Bat Mitzvahs
  • Birthday parties
  • Performances for various Jewish common interest groups
  • Cultural festivals
  • Israeli Embassy Yom Ha'atzmaut Reception and other embassy events
  • Indian Embassy Channukah Party
Our repertoire contains Jewish liturgical pieces, Israeli pop songs and American popular music, and we sing in both English and Hebrew. We typically request a $400 honorarium per performance, which goes toward operating expenses.
